Africa – Tomorrownow.org is thrilled to announce the appointment of Wanjeri Mbugua as its new Africa-based CEO, marking an exciting next chapter in its mission to empower millions of farmers with breakthrough weather and climate solutions.

Wanjeri brings over 15 years of senior leadership experience spanning both the nonprofit and private sectors, where she has driven high-impact strategy, partnerships, and investment. 

Most recently, she played a key leadership role in the USAID Africa Trade and Investment Program, a major continental initiative, and brings deep expertise in fundraising, scaling innovation, and climate resilience.

She holds an MBA and is a Rockefeller-Acumen Food Systems Fellow, reflecting her deep commitment to inclusive and sustainable food systems. 

Wanjeri’s expertise and leadership will be invaluable as she leads TomorrowNow through its next phase of growth and impact.

Wanjeri’s appointment marks a key moment in TomorrowNow’s journey—a moment that reflects the power of collaboration, innovation, and leadership. 

TomorrowNow was born out of the pioneering technology ecosystem of Tomorrow.io, a global leader in AI-powered weather intelligence and resilience. Leveraging advanced satellite data, machine learning, and predictive analytics, TomorrowNow is transforming how smallholder farmers access reliable, hyperlocal weather forecasts and advisory—helping them increase productivity, reduce risk, and adapt to climate change.

Since its founding, TomorrowNow has worked in close collaboration with the Gates Foundation, alongside the private sector, governments, agribusinesses, and NGOs, to ensure millions of farmers have access to next-generation weather services that drive prosperity and food security. 

tomorrownow.org has already reached 5 million farmers with next generation weather services. 

Under Wanjeri’s leadership, TomorrowNow will build on this strong foundation, expanding its reach and deepening its impact across Africa and beyond.
