TomorrowNow participated at the ‘Grow, Nourish, Reward: Bold Actions for Resilient Food Systems’ Session of Africa’s premier forum for driving the food and agriculture agenda in the continent.

Kigali, Rwanda – Ronald Diang’a (TomorrowNow’s Kenya Project Manager) represented TomorrowNow as a panelist at the AGRF 2022 Youth Town Hall session that was hosted by Generation Africa of AGRA, sharing what TomorrowNow does in the agri-food space and their contribution to building the resilience of Africa’s food system.

He highlighted TomorrowNow’s mission, milestones through our various projects and our vision for Africa.

Key Highlights:

  • The session reflected on the opportunities for improved food systems and specific actions to achieve better food systems in Africa, in addition to the role of youth to strengthen the continent’s food systems. 
  • It was agreed that a multi-stakeholder approach is critical for better supporting youth in agriculture by leveraging inclusive climate adaptation solutions to ensure that no one is left behind.
  • The role of technology, including next generation weather tech and tools, to promote youth engagement in agriculture was also celebrated.
